To help debaters develop their skills, the Chicago Debate League runs the Chicago Debate Summer Institute (CDSI), an excellent way for new debaters to get started and for former debaters to refresh their skills. Since first-year debaters compete only against other first-year debaters, attending the CDSI gives students an advantage in competition, especially in the early tournaments. It s also an opportunity for incoming freshmen to meet high school students from King and other schools, and it’s a great way to keep the mind engaged over the summer.
You can find the registration form and more information about the CDSI at
