Scratch is a free programming language that makes it easy to create interactive art, stories, simulations, and games – and share those creations online.
We use Scratch at King to introduce students to programming concepts in a way that allows for collaboration and creativity. Students create a variety of projects (such as games and animations) and share them online at the Scratch site.
At the main Scratch site (http://scratch.mit.edu), you can download the software; upload your own projects; connect with other developers; and browse, play and even download others’ projects.
ScratchEd (http://scratched.media.mit.edu/) is a site for teachers.
